SKS incorporates unique “Inert IED’s” into its training solutions
‘Learing Objectives’ ‘Education Theory’, ‘Images’ and ‘Simulations’ are all components of a rounded security training program. When ‘Actions’ are a critical part of the skill set the training is looking to improve it is important to provide the students with ‘real examples’ of what they will face in the real world.
SKS incorporates ‘Inert’ explosive devices into its training solutions in order to create realistic environments for initial and on-going training.
SKS also use these ‘Inert’ devices in the classroom and at the security checkpoint itself in order to expose the security officers to devices they have probably never seen or handled.
Each device is a carefully made replica of a working item with the same weight, look and feel as the ‘real’ device. The devises have the identical ’Signature’ under X-Ray as the real devices they are built to replicate which provides the students with exact ‘views’ without the dangers associated with using primed explosive devices.
SKS provides numerous examples from a simple IED to a sophisticated working ‘Radio’ through to many different types of ‘letter’ bombs.
The Inert IED’s are used in the relevant technology training pieces of our solutions which allow us to link ’hands on’ problems at the security checkpoint to our technology based training modules.
